We are the Brinkleys. We are slightly unconventional, but determined to make it all work. We have a bubbly 3-year-old known as Kayna or booger-butt or spanky. Her puppy, who earned the name Lars with his general sense of kookiness, is also a big piece in our family puzzle as well.
How did we get started? We met while working together in an office. Things were pretty much certain from the beginning and after a short romance, we became engaged in January 2012, and eloped on Leap Day 2012. From there, we moved into my Bungalow, Beau, which then became OUR bungalow. Going from a bachelorette pad to a family abode has had its struggles, but we are working to make our little pile of wood and concrete our home.
What do we actually do? We both work in the financial industry by day, and play DIYers, cooks, parents, dog-trainers, and family by night. We try our best to juggle it all, though it is not always easy. We rely on the help of our amazing families pretty much daily.
What are we doing here? Honestly, we don't know yet. I enjoy DIY adventures, cooking, and writing, so a blog to share my joys with the world seemed like a great step to building my skills. I know not everything on here is going to be Domino-worthy, but we do our best.
